Temptation
This project was a self-portrait made for the NMPD (New Media Production and Design) course at Sait. I tried to evoke a sense of mystery and tempt by using focal points and a limited color scheme. The main lesson I took from this project was that one take is never enough I took over a hundred photos until I finally landed on a photo I could be satisfied with before I went the editing room.
The lighting for this particular project was difficult as I didn’t have access to any of the studios at SAIT and needed to use the lighting in my room. This actually worked in my favor since my room has a single lighting fixture in the center of the room that I stood directly under giving my face all of those hard shadows that obscure details and bring the focus to the dice in my hand. As a result I couldn’t experiment with other lighting and had to make use of what I had at the time.
